Description

This is a medieval memorial slab, originally measuring 7 feet 3 1/2 inches by 3 feet 4 1/2 inches and 5 1/2 inches thick. The slab features two incised figures depicted in armour, which are well-preserved but broken in the middle. It is now located inside Foveran Parish Church. Further details can be found in the Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, volume XLIII, and Archaelogia Scotica, volume III, page 14, as well as in Henderson’s Epitaphs and Inscriptions, pages 309 and following.
