Description
Mill Of Rora is an early 19th century building, originally a mill, now a house. It is constructed of coursed granite, two stories high with three windows. The centre of the front elevation features a bipartite and tripartite doorpiece, topped with a semi-circular fanlight above the door and a Gothic design above the side lights. A single-storey and attic wing extends to the rear. The mill interior is largely gutted, containing an asbestos roof, a roofless kiln, and a removed water wheel. A lade (artificial water course) remains in use, powering a water turbine generator. The statutory address is Mill of Rora House.
