Description
Midtown of Haddo is a 2-storey and attic farmhouse built in 1821, featuring the initials GL, and possibly incorporating an earlier building. The farmhouse has a later porch addition and is harled.
On the east elevation, there is a central door at ground level leading to an early 20th century wooden gabled porch with a window at the front. The original small window openings have been retained, with windows flanking the ground floor and three windows on the first floor. A date stone with initials is located under the eaves on the right side.
The west elevation includes small stair windows at the centre of the ground and first floors, along with small openings to the attic at the gableheads.
Adjoining to the south is a later single-storey wing that connects the farmhouse and the steading, which has a rubble enclosing wall. The property features sash and case windows with renewed 4-pane glazing, original grey slates, ashlar coped skews, and corniced stacks.
