Farmhouse, Hawkhead House Farm, Paisley

Hawkhead House Farm is a farmhouse dating from around 1800, with later alterations. It is a two-storey, three-bay building featuring a steeply pitched gabled roof. The exterior is constructed of roughly squared rubble with painted red ashlar dressings, and there is a brick rear that may have been added during a later repair.

The entrance front has a stone porch addition with a piend roof, which includes two small windows at the front and a door on the right side. Above the porch, there is a window, along with additional windows in the flanking bays. The rear elevation has a regular arrangement of windows at the first floor, while the ground floor has a more irregular layout. Each side gable has later brick additions and small attic windows positioned high in the gablehead.

The farmhouse features timber 12-pane sash and case windows and is roofed with graded grey slates. The stone gablehead stacks and ashlar coping to the skews add to its architectural detail. The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1997.
