Description

Dated 1796. 2-storey stable block 9-bays with pediment to

centre bay; slightly advanced centre and raised end bays.

Droved ashlar with polished dressings including rusticated

long and short angle quoins. Pend now flat-headed to centre

with rusticated quoins. Oculus in pediment. Elliptically-

headed pends with rusticated voussoirs to end bays, that

to left since glazed. Ground floor sash windows, (lower

parts since blocked,) with rusticated long and short

quoins and lintels carved to resemble voussoirs. Band course

at lintel level. 1st floor windows of end bay as ground;

Eaves band. Slate roof, piended to end bays. Returns to

east and west, blind except for 3 vertical slits. Rubble

rear.

Interior left of central pend, retains iron stall divisions.
