East Range, Farmsteading, Hawkhead House Farm, Paisley

West Range at Hawkhead House Farm is a stable block built in 1796. It is two storeys high and has nine bays, featuring a pediment above the central bay. The central and end bays are slightly advanced and raised. The building is constructed of droved ashlar stone with polished dressings, including rusticated long and short angle quoins. The central pend has a flat head and rusticated quoins, while the end bays have elliptically-headed pends with rusticated voussoirs, one of which has been glazed.

On the ground floor, there are sash windows, although the lower parts have been blocked. These windows are framed by rusticated long and short quoins and lintels that are carved to resemble voussoirs. A band course runs at the level of the lintels. The first-floor windows in the end bays are similar to those on the ground floor. The eaves feature a band, and the roof is slate, with a piended design at the end bays. The returns to the east and west are blind, except for three vertical slits. The rear of the building is made of rubble.

Inside, to the left of the central pend, the interior retains iron stall divisions.
