Description

Earlier 18th century. Tall 2-storey and dormerless attic,

3-bay house with continuous 19th century single bay addition

at W gable forming irregular 4-bay frontage. House flanked at

right angles by low 2-storey blocks, linked by curved

mono-pitch quadrants to both house and front garden wall

forming courtyard/garden. Harled, tooled and polished ashlar

dressings and margins.

Centre entrance in slightly advanced and gabled bay with

round-headed moulded jambs with acanthus detailing to

keystone and imposts. Segmental-headed attic window in gable

with similar detailing to keystone.

Modern glazing; large modern sun parlour fronts house End

stacks, those serving original house with deep roll moulded

copes; slate roof.

Centre entrance to garden approached by steps; pair simple

square ashlar gatepiers with shallow pyramidal caps; pair

cast-iron gates.
