Description
4 and 4A Low Street in Banff is a house from the later 18th century, featuring two stories above a raised basement and a three-bay design. The front is made of squared local rubble with tooled ashlar dressings, while the rear is harled. The entrance is centrally located, and the windows have regular spacing with 4-pane or plate glass timber sash and case glazing.
The house has end stacks with moulded cornices and flat skews that include run-off stops. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and has a sandstone ridge.
At the rear, the building is harled with painted reveals and includes a doorway leading to 4A.
