Description
40 Sandend is a cottage from the early to mid-19th century. It is a single-storey building with a dormerless attic and features a three-bay design. The front of the cottage is rendered and lined to resemble ashlar, while the rear is constructed of rubble with contrasting painted margins. The centre entrance has a modern door and is flanked by small windows. There is a ground window and a small loft window in the gable, along with two rear windows, all featuring 4-pane glazing. The cottage has a single end stack and a single rear wallhead stack. The roof is slate, with modern roof lights added to the loft.
