Description

42 Church Street in Fordyce is a mid-19th century single-storey cottage with an attic, originally built as two separate 2-bay dwellings. The cottage features a squared rubble frontage with tooled dressings. The entrance is off-centre and has a panelled door. The ground floor windows have 12-pane glazing, while the late 19th-century pair of canted dormers above have 4-pane glazing. The building has coped end stacks and a slate roof that includes a loft rooflight. At the rear, there is a single-storey, 2-bay wing. A low coped wall fronts the cottage.
