Description
St Peter's Parish Church, located on Station Road South in Peterculter, was built in 1779. It features a long rectangular structure made of ashlar stone, with a Venetian window and a bellcote at the west gable. The church has simple round-arched windows with chamfers. In 1873, alterations were made under the direction of James Matthews, who had prepared the plans in 1865. There is a central south projection and a north aisle in a T-plan style, constructed in 1895 by Alexander Brown of Brown & Watt, which is made of red granite. The interior was completely refurnished in 1860, and there is a bell present in the church.
