Description

Capstan Jetty, built around 1796, is a small tapering jetty made of roughly hewn granite rubble. It has a circular head and is situated near the mouth of Aberdeen Harbour and the River Dee. The jetty features a cast-iron capstan with a fluted shaft and a central turning wheel. Additionally, there are a pair of cast-iron bollards with chains.
