Description
Fisherrow Harbour in Musselburgh was rebuilt after 1806, with the current west pier constructed around 1850. The east pier curves to protect the harbour from the north, while the west pier slightly curves inwards near the harbour entrance. Both piers feature parapets on their outer edges and are made of coursed sandstone rubble.
On the south edge of the harbour stands a mid-19th century harbour office that is two storeys above quay level. It has a door on the south side and one window on the first floor to the east, as well as windows on the north and west sides. There is one ground floor window on the north side. The building is constructed of sandstone rubble and has been re-roofed with concrete pantiles. It features single pane sash windows, except for the modern windows on the north side.
