Description

Buckpool Harbour in Buckie was built between 1855 and 1857. It is a former harbour enclosed by two piers, with the pier on the west side forming an L-shape. The structure features tooled rubble, which is laid in near vertical courses on the seaward side of the walls and in horizontal courses on the inner faces. A wide quay runs along the lengths of both harbour arms on the inner side of the sea walls, and there are tooled ashlar bollards present.
