Description
Left one of a pair of two and a half storey/ two bay houses, sea facing on N side of Seaview. Pitched artificial slate roof with a rendered chimneystack to left gable and another on party wall with adjoining building (HB16/12/018D). There are two wall-head dormers to front pitch (see later). Corbelled eaves course supports moulded gutters, which drain into secondary gutters running beneath the cill level of the attic windows. Walls are rendered and unpainted with raised cill course to first floor windows. Front elevation faces S. Its ground floor left bay is abutted by a single-storey porch accessed by five concrete steps. Its flat roof is concealed by an overhanging moulded cornice with mutules. Porch walls are rendered, band-rusticated and unpainted and have a chamfered basecourse. The right (E) cheek of porch has narrow segmental-headed 1/1 sliding sash window. The front cheek has a modern stained timber door with one sidelight and plainly glazed transom and semicircular fanlight over. The left cheek is blank. The ground floor right bay has a tripartite window with moulded shouldered and eared architrave. Its window is a 1/1 uPVC fixed light; flanked by narrow 1/1 top-hung casement windows. The left bay of first floor has a 1/1 uPVC top-hung window within a pediment topped architrave supported on foliated console brackets. To its right is a tripartite window (as that to ground floor) within a segmental headed pediment supported on foliated console brackets on a raised architrave. The attic level has two wall head dormers, with mutule-cills. Both have single 1/1 uPVC top-hung casement windows. The left one has a normal pediment and the right one has a segmental-headed pediment. Left gable is blank. Rear elevation was not inspected. Right gable is abutted by adjoining building 24 Seaview (HB16/12/018D). A dashed wall with smooth render copings encloses small front garden.
