This is a single-storey vernacular farmhouse, likely dating to the mid-19th century, between 1840 and 1859. It is situated on the north side of Slievenaman Road, approximately 5 miles west of Newcastle. The building’s front façade, which faces roughly south, is asymmetrical. A small lean-to porch is positioned to the left of centre, featuring a timber-sheeted door. To the porch’s left is a narrow window with a modern frame, and a similar window to the porch’s right. Both gables are blank. Two boarded-up windows are visible to the rear, one centrally located and the other to the right. The façade is primarily harled, with a gabled roof covered in natural slate to the front and corrugated asbestos to the rear. The roof features harled parapets and a rendered chimney stack on each gable. The porch has PVC rainwater goods. An Ordnance Survey map from 1859 shows a building on the site, occupied in 1863 by a John Depot, with a rateable value of 10 shillings. This is likely the dwelling seen today.
