This is a single-story, three-bay corrugated metal dwelling, likely constructed between 1920 and 1939. It is a rare example of a building type and age in remarkably original condition. The building is believed to have been part of the Watertown complex, which was developed from 1922 to house the workers involved in building the Silent Valley reservoir, which opened in 1933. It is uncertain whether the building occupies its original position.

The roof is pitched and sheeted with corrugated metal painted black, with slightly oversailing gables featuring finialed bargeboards. Cement-rendered chimneys are located on either side of the middle bay. The walls are timber-framed and also sheeted in corrugated metal, painted green. The façade features a modern top-glazed door to the right end of the central bay; each bay also contains a single, 3/3 vertically divided casement window with timber cills and surrounds, the top window opening inwards. The left and right gables are plain.

The rear elevation includes a cement-rendered lean-to extension against the central and left bays; the right bay remains unaltered. The rear extension incorporates a metal-framed casement window to its left gable and a similar window and a door made of tongue-and-groove boards to the rear elevation; the right gable is plain. The building has no rainwater goods.

The property is of industrial archaeological interest and has an interesting historical connection to the Silent Valley reservoir project.
