Description
A two-storey gabled roughcast building, five windows wide to the first floor, formerly a house but now converted to a shop. Roof of Bangor blue slates in regular courses. Windows to first floor rectangular timber sliding sash, vertically hung, 1 over 1, with horns, except for lower sash of second window from left which has six panes; all set in heavy square moulded surrounds with decorated keystones. Central entrance on ground floor has modern rectangular glazed and panelled door, replacing previous flush timber door with plain fanlight, set in panelled pilaster surround rising to a consoled cornice hood. Modern large three-light hardwood shop windows flanking doorway to each side, replacing original windows, formerly two windows to each side, sashed as on first floor and in similar surrounds. Blank roughcast rendered north gable. Long modern single storey extension to rear. SETTING: The building stands in the build-up area of the village, facing directly on to the main street, abutting a taller gabled two-storey house to the south but flanked by a featureless open yard to the north.
