This is a large, vernacular house located on Carrickbroad Road, Killevy, near Newry, County Armagh. Likely built between 1860 and 1879, it sits on a maturely planted site, set back from the road and defined by a hedgerow boundary.

The house is a two-story, three-bay structure aligned southwest-northeast. The roof is pitched and covered in natural slate, with a chimney positioned between each bay. The left bay has a wet-dashed exterior, while the right bay is cement rendered. An advanced brick eaves course supports half-round metal rainwater goods with downpipes at each end of the facade. The walls are lime-rendered rubble stone. The principal elevation faces southeast.

The left bay originally contained a door opening, which was once a window, on the ground floor. The central bay is wider than the others and features a projecting porch on the left side, with a window to its right. The porch has a pitched natural slate roof and a 1/1 exposed box sliding sash window with horns and a granite cill. The right cheek of the porch is blank, and the right bay contains a similarly detailed window, with a tongue-and-groove sheeted entrance door, featuring a central cast-iron door-pull. The left cheek of this bay is blank. Above, the first floor has four windows, each slightly diminished in height. A small window is present on the left gable’s first floor center, now without a frame.

The rear elevation of the left bay is blank. The central bay has an infilled door opening with a timber lintel, with a 2x3 metal framed casement window to its left and a 2/2 sliding sash window above to its right, both featuring the standard detailing. The right bay abuts the remains of a single-story outbuilding, which originally had a monopitched slate roof, now absent. A doorway is present on the right cheek of the outbuilding, with blank walls elsewhere. The right gable is abutted by a ruinous lean-to with random rubble walls; a window is present on the first floor center. The lean-to has a monopitched roof that is now gone and a cement-rendered apex. A door is located on the southeast face of the lean-to, with the remaining walls blank.

Historical records show a building on this site in 1861, though not with the current alignment. Valuations from 1862 to the 1920s indicate no significant changes were made to the property, supporting its construction in the early 1860s.
