The building is a complex of houses and outhouses built between 1800 and 1819. It clearly demonstrates the local vernacular tradition of building by adding extensions in a line.

The complex consists of a pair of connected, single-storey houses and attached outhouses, all facing south-east. From left to right, the complex comprises a two-bay house, a one-bay house, and two one-bay outhouses. The leftmost house has a gabled roof; it is slated over the bedroom and covered with corrugated metal over the kitchen, which occupies the second bay. A chimney sits on the party wall between this house and the next. The walls are of rendered random rubble and each room has a single window on the front facade, now without frames. The entrance door is on the right side, set within a slightly projecting porch with a monopitch roof. The second house has a lower, gabled roof of corrugated metal. Its fireplace is on the party gable shared with the first house, opposite the entrance door, and there is a single window to the facade. The outhouses have the same roofline and consist of single rooms, with no windows.

A building is depicted on this site on the 1834 Ordnance Survey map. The building is currently recorded as derelict and remains in private ownership.
