7 Osborne Promenade, Warrenpoint, Newry, Co Down, BT34 3HS

This is a two-storey, two-bay terrace house situated on Osborne Promenade in Warrenpoint, Newry, facing the sea. It dates from 1820 to 1839. The house has been significantly altered and retains limited original features.

The building has a pitched roof covered in artificial slate, with an unpainted rendered chimney at the right end of the ridge. Two modern skylights are set into the front slope of the roof, and the exterior is finished with half-round plastic rainwater goods. The front elevation, which faces southwest, is rendered and painted. All windows have painted granite cills. The left bay contains a modern stained timber door with a plain semicircular fanlight above. The ground floor right bay features a modern 1/1 stained timber casement window. The two first-floor windows are 1/1 exposed box sashes. The left gable abuts the adjoining building at 8 Osborne Promenade (listed building HB16/12/003A), and the right gable abuts the adjoining building at 6 Osborne Promenade (listed building HB16/12/023A). A small area at the front of the house is enclosed by a cement rendered dwarf wall. The rear elevation was not inspected. The house was originally 22ft wide, 27ft 6in deep, and 22ft high, matching the dimensions of number 6. It appears on the 1834 Ordnance Survey 6-inch map as part of the terrace. The building is currently in use as a health centre and was formerly a house.
