28 Mountain Road, Killevy, Newry, Co Armagh, BT35 8TB

A group of well maintained vernacular buildings within Slieve Gullion Forest Park; consisting of two single-storey/ two bay dwellings and a number of outbuildings. All with pitched roofs and whitewashed random rubble walls. Both dwellings are aligned roughly E-W; No.26 to the E (see HB16/15/045A) and No.28 to the W. No.28 has a natural slate roof with two brick chimneys – one to left gable and one between each bay. Windbreak porch to right-end of left bay has a monopitched natural slate roof, and t+g sheeted door to front (S) face; left and right cheeks are blank. Each bay has a 2/2 sliding sash window with whitewashed granite cill. Left gable and rear elevation are blank. Right gable is abutted by small dog kennel. Outbuildings to N and S have corrugated metal roofs with t+g sheeted openings – all in good condition but of no interest apart from their setting and group value.
