6 Mill Road, Kilcoo village, Fofannyreagh, Castlewellan, Co Down, BT34 5UZ

This is a single-story, gabled vernacular dwelling, likely built before 1834, and currently used as farm outbuildings. It is situated on the eastern side of Mill Road, just south of the village of Kilcoo, approximately four miles southwest of Castlewellan. The building sits on a slight slope, running from south to north.

The asymmetrical front facade, facing west, features a small lean-to porch centrally placed, now without a door. To the left of the porch is a small window with a sash frame, and to the right a similar window. The north gable has a small shed attached and is otherwise blank. A larger, rubble-built shed with a slated roof and a front doorway is attached to the south side of the house. The rear of the house has a single window on the left side, mirroring the front. The front facade is harled and whitewashed, while the roof is covered with corrugated asbestos. A single rendered chimney stack is located on the south side. Several small, single-story, rubble-built, gabled outbuildings are positioned to the south.

A building is depicted on this site in Ordnance Survey maps dating to 1834 and 1859. The property appears to have been abandoned in the mid-20th century and is now occasionally used as a farm outbuilding.
