Description

Left one of a pair of three-storey/two-bay terraced houses fronting the south side of Sandys Street, which here turns the corner into Talbot Street. Pitched natural slate roof, with two gabled dormers (with plain bargeboards) at front rising from eaves, and single similar dormer to rear. Cement rendered chimney to left gable. Half round metal rainwater goods with down pipes at left and middle of façade. Walls of street façade are painted and line render. Main entrance, at right, comprises a modern six-panel fielded painted timber door with narrow transom light over. At left is single replacement 1/1 sliding sash window, which has an exposed box and trickle ventilation. There are two 1/1 sliding sashes (of traditional design) to each of the upper floors, in line with each other but not with the ground floor openings. All windows have painted granite cills. Right gable abutted by adjoining house (HB16/28/106A). Left gable abutted by a lower building (1 Talbot St); exposed section of wall rendered. Rear elevation not accessed. Yard to rear.
