Description
The Leagaun Standing Stone is a prehistoric monument situated at the southern tip of a field on the east side of a minor road in the townland of Cloghagaddy, near Newtownbutler, Co Fermanagh. It is a Scheduled Monument (Ferm 246:47). The stone is an undressed and tapering glacial sandstone erratic, currently ivy-clad, measuring approximately 250 centimetres high and 130 x 50 centimetres in cross section. Its former and current use is as a standing stone. It dates from before 1600. It is located on privately owned land and is not listed.
