Description

Knockballymore Bridge carries a one-and-a-half lane road over River Finn. Comprises two slightly skew semicircular arches. Of random rubble sandstone throughout, but with finely dressed abutment quoins, voussoirs and angled cutwaters. The cutwaters rise to the top of the parapet Their top sections are stepped out to accommodate small niches on the road sides of the parapets. The latter are coped with tabular, out-projecting stones and curve out at each end. Concrete footings to abutments and pier. Roadway is slightly humped. A metal pipe is carried across the upstream (W) face.
