Description

The house at Ballyrobin, opposite 107 Seven Mile Straight, Muckamore, Antrim, was a vernacular thatched cottage. Likely built between 1800 and 1819, it first appeared on an Ordnance Survey map from 1832-3. The cottage was harled and whitened, featuring four windows with four panes per sash. A modern door replaced the original. A single-story extension to the south was roofed with slate. Four red brick chimneys were a characteristic feature of the main house. After a period of vacancy, the cottage was demolished in the mid-1970s, following the construction of a new house on the same land. The site is now grassed over.
