Description

A group of rubble stone and rendered buildings comprising a two-storey house with attached one-storey outbuildings, all showing evidence of alteration and modernisation. Described in the first survey in 1972 as "Roughcast farm buildings with a single-storey dwelling to east. A square entrance with quatrefoil ornament is flanked by two twelve-pane windows either side. The hall is vaulted." The former "single-storey dwelling to east" is now used as an outbuilding: it has lost its original entrance which is now a rectangular opening dressed with concrete and containing modern flush timber doors; windows retain decorative smooth cement rendered surrounds but are closed up with corrugated iron; roof of modern red tiles; chimneys of red brick; rainwater goods of cast iron and PVC. The two-storey house has a red tiled roof; modern rectangular PVC windows; red brick chimneys. Lower wing to west has a slated roof; outbuildings have asbestos slates to roofs.
