9 Ballyharvey Road, Muckamore, Antrim, BT41 4SN

This is an early Victorian house, likely built between 1840 and 1859. It is a two-storey, three-bay building that has lost some of its original features. The house is rendered with a wet-dash finish to the front, with raised smooth rendered stringcourses, quoins at the corners, and smooth, lined, and blocked gables. It has a slated roof and later red brick chimneys on each gable. The main entrance faces west. The windows are modern rectangular timber fixed lights with top-hung vents, set in moulded and lugged surrounds. The elliptically arched doorway has a modern replacement glazed door flanked by modern replacement two-pane sidelights and a modern replacement radial fanlight above. There are PVC rainwater goods and a timber eaves board over a modillion cornice. The two-storey rear elevation has a modern doorway below a small flat canopy. The building is set well back from the road in a rural area, within its own farmland. A concrete driveway and rendered and corrugated iron outbuildings are present. An earlier building stood on the site, as shown on an Ordnance Survey map from 1832-3. The current building appears on the Ordnance Survey map of 1857.
