Description
A rectangular rendered and gabled church four bays long to the sides, with a projecting gabled entrance bay on the north gable and a modern hall extending to the rear from the south gable. Main entrance faces north. Roof of Bangor blue slates in regular courses, oversailing to the front and rear, on shaped corbels to the front; timber barge boards. Walls are smooth cement rendered, lined and blocked, with rusticated quoins to corners. Windows are Gothic arched and latticed paned set in chamfered reveals and surmounted by label mouldings. Main entrance is a pair of modern rectangular timber doors set in a rectangular opening, surmounted by a label moulding on curved consoles; above doorway is a datestone, and above that a triplet of graded Gothic lancets, filled with small tinted lozenge panes, and surmounted by drip mouldings with large floreated stops. Cast iron and PVC rainwater goods. Hall to rear is rendered with a wet dash of crushed black stones; slated roof; windows are rectangular fixed lights with top-hung vents to east side and of pointed form to west side. SETTING: The building stands facing the main road but set back from it within a large tarmac area; front boundary formed by a modern rustic brick wall with concrete copings; modern manse detached to south within grounds.
