ST51NE YEOVIL CP DORCHESTER ROAD (off) Former Stables and Coach House 2/20 10m North West of Aldon House

Stables and Coach house, early C19; now converted into dwelling. Ham stone ashlar with hipped Welsh slate roof with wide overbang and heavy timber soffite brackets. 2-storeys of 5-bays: late C20 windows to all but centre bay at ground floor level: simple timber 2-light casememts above. Centre bay has a projecting tower with arched niche at ground floor level, a plain rectangular recess at first floor level, then a blind balustrade panel; above this a position for a clock surmounted by louvres, a cornice and a flat roof. On the left-hand side, 2-large stone arches in an extension, with timber doors, slated roof above. The much altered wing to the right not included.
