Description
This description is for a pair of chest tombs located in the churchyard, approximately 7 meters east of the chancel of the Church of the Holy Cross. The tombs date from the 17th and 18th centuries. The southern tomb is made of sandstone and features a flat-topped thick slab with a moulded cornice, resting on a rubble base that lacks ashlar facing. The northern tomb is constructed from Ham stone, has a ledger top, and also sits on a brick and rubble base without ashlar facing. Both tombs are about 300 millimeters above ground.
