Farmhouse. C18; ante 1787; (dated watercolour of the property by D. Nattes of South Moulton hangs in Shapwick Village Hall); for J. E. Templar Esq., of Shapwick House (q.v); late C19 alterations. Coursed and squared rubble, emphasised garden frontage finished in Flemish bond red brick, freestone quoins, freestone dressings, hipped triple Roman tile roof, brick stacks and a rubble stack with an ashlar cap. Symmetrical frontage. Two storeys and attic, 1:2:1 bays, those to centre stepped forward under a pedimented gable, moulded dressed stone coping, poppy finial; moulded eaves band to each side, continuing across the face of the pediment, blocked circular window in a moulded surround to centre; 4-pane sash windows in moulded architraves. Central door opening in a similar surround, triangular pediment, C20 door. Large freestone tablet to centre of first floor, text decayed. Lean-to to right of coursed and squared rubble.
