Dovecote. C17, re-roofed in 1983/84 following damage from falling tree. Coursed and squared lias rubble, plinth with offset, eaves cornice, octopartite slate roof, restored lantern with an ogee-shaped lead roof. Octagonal on plan, no window openings. Low door opening to West, chamfered and dressed freestone surround. Interior completely lined with nesting holes from floor to eaves; central octagonal pier also with nesting holes. May have been erected at the same time as Shapwick House Hotel (q.v).
