Description
Manor Farmhouse, The Willows and The Flat is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was refronted in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of stucco with a slate roof and features coped verges and four brick stacks. It has a Tudoresque design and is arranged in an L-shape. The entrance is positioned at right angles to the road and the structure is two storeys high with five bays. There are two three-light and one four-light stone mullioned windows, each with stopped labels, and metal casements for each light. The door opening is located between the third and fourth bays and features a 19th-century studded plank door with a gabled slate hood supported by twin ashlar piers.
Inside, the left and right ground floor rooms have wainscotting, and there are some 19th-century fireplaces. The rear wing retains some 17th-century features, including chamfered ceiling beams and a fireplace with a broad wooden bressumer, along with some original roof trusses.
