Description
The Harbour Master's House is an early 19th-century building in Bridgwater. It is constructed of stucco over brick, with a painted brick parapet. The roof and chimneys are not visible. The building follows a central-entry plan with two main sections.
The facade is symmetrical with three windows on each floor. The first floor has 20th-century windows. The ground floor features canted bay windows with hipped lead roofs. A six-panel door is centrally positioned, with the upper four panels glazed and the lower two being raised and fielded panels, above which is a painted fanlight with radiating glazing bars. A 20th-century two-storey extension is located at the rear of the property.
