Description

This is a house dating from the early 18th century, located on the west side of High Street in Ripton. The house is constructed of ham stone rubble, with cut and squared quoins, and has thatched gables with coped edges. Brick end stacks, restored in 1982 to an 18th-century design, are present. The house is two stories high and has four bays. A shallow, flat-roofed stone porch with a 20th-century glazed door sits in the second bay. The windows are two-light leaded casements, some containing old glass. The interior retains significant original woodwork, including 18th-century doors, a partition with small balusters at a high level, and an early staircase.
