Description
The Cottage is a house dating from the 16th to 17th century, with some alterations from the 19th century. It features coursed and squared lias stone set in bands, a double-Roman tiled roof with a coped verge that has a base for a finial, and two brick stacks—one on the ridge and one at eaves level. The building is single storey with an attic and consists of five bays, with 2 and 3-light casement windows that have horizontal glazing bars. The ground floor windows have brick voussoirs above them. There are two door openings with plank doors and 19th-century brick porches. Inside, the house has two winder staircases, chamfered beams, and two large fireplaces with wooden bressummers.
