Description
Isle Brewers Bridge spans the River Isle and is likely of early origin, with evidence of rebuilding in the 18th century and some work from the 20th century. The bridge is constructed from dressed Ham stone and some coloured lias. It features two semi-circular headed archways with dressed voussoirs and dressed stone beneath the arches. There are two cutwaters on the upstream side, and the low parapet along the carriageway is made up of large stone blocks with chamfered upper edges. The abutments on each side have been partly restored using reconstituted stone blocks. The carriageway rises slightly over the center of the bridge.
