Description
St Michael's is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features an eaves cornice, a triple-Roman tiled roof with coped verges, and a single ashlar stack topped with a brick stack. The building is two stories high with a three-bay front. The windows are three-light, made of moulded stone mullions with iron casements and square-paned leaded lights. The ground floor has two stopped labels, with one label extending over the later door opening, which features a 19th-century three-quarter glazed door.
The right wing includes a projecting two-storey single-bay porch that is gabled and topped with a ball finial. On the first floor, there is a two-light stone-mullioned window with a label, while the ground floor features a moulded four-centred arch outer door opening. Inside, the house has an open timber roof with three bays and a panelled room from the 18th century.
