Description

This is a group of three chest tombs dating from the late 18th century, located approximately 20 meters to the south-west of the Parish Church in Chard. They are made of limestone and feature hipped tops with moulded cornices. The central tomb has reeded edges, while all three have raised and fielded panels with pilasters consisting of three panels. The tomb on the left, to the south, bears an inscription that reads: "William Loveridge esq of Paradise House in the County of Dorset who died in 1869 aged 92 years."
