Description

The stables and granary on the west side of the foldyard at Washford Farm date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of red sandstone random rubble with partially rendered brick dressings and feature a half hipped asbestos slate roof with sprockets. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The outer bays have brick gabled heads for loft doors, with the left door accessible via a flight of external stone steps. There is a three-light unglazed opening in the centre left, while the ground floor has two plank doors flanked by three-light unglazed openings. This structure is part of a notable group of 19th-century farm buildings and is prominently located at the entrance to Washford from the Williton Road.
