Description

This is a range of farm buildings located on the south side of the foldyard at Washford Farm, dating from the mid-19th century. The structure is built from red sandstone random rubble and features an asbestos slate roof, with corrugated iron on the right side. The barn, which is situated over a shelter shed, has double doors on the first floor that open over a three-bay arcade of the shelter shed. There is a loft opening on the first floor to the left, and a single-storey byre entrance on the left. Additionally, there is a lancet opening in the wall that slopes down to the right, along with another entrance in the right return. This range of buildings is part of a notable group of 19th-century farm structures and is prominently positioned at the entrance to Washford, along the main road from Williton.
