Description

Phoenix Terrace is an early to mid-19th century terrace of three storeys. It comprises numbers 10 to 18 on the south side of Catherine Street. The buildings are constructed of rendered rubble with slate and pantile roofs and brick chimneys. The windows are mostly single windows per property, with numbers 10 and 11 featuring flat mullions and glazing bar sashes. The ground-floor windows were originally tripartite. Numbers 13, 14, 15, and 16 retain reeded mullions. The terrace has six flush panel doors, with numbers 14 and 18 being half-glazed. The doorways are each topped with brackets supporting flat hoods, and numbers 12 and 18 have outer piers, which are chamfered on the ground floor. At the rear, numbers 12, 13, and 14 have hipped roofs to their stair turrets, and number 15 retains some stone tiles.
