Description
These gate piers, located 10 metres southeast of Key Farm House, date from the 18th century. They are constructed from Ham stone ashlar and measure 800 mm square at the base. The distance between the piers is 2.1 metres, and there are two steps leading up to them. The piers feature high moulded plinths and are topped with cornice mould caps and ornate urn finials, reaching a total height of about 4.5 metres, which makes them appear quite grand for the house. Behind the piers, there is a short flight of stone steps, flanked by brick boundary walls that are of little significance.
