Description
Ashcott Villa is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features colourwashed render that is scribed to resemble ashlar, a slate roof with coped verges, and brick end stacks. The building has a symmetrical front with two storeys and three bays, where the central bay projects slightly forward under a front-facing gable topped with a finial. The façade includes 16-pane sash windows set in keyed reveals. The central door opening has a semi-circular head and contains paired half-glazed doors with a fanlight featuring radiating glazing bars. A verandah, roofed with glass and zinc sheeting, is supported by wrought-iron brackets on the ground floor. The villa occupies a prominent position along the roadside.
