Maylands is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features a rendered exterior that is scribed to resemble ashlar, a double Roman tile roof, coped verges, and end brick ridge stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical front consisting of three bays and 16-pane sash windows. The central door opening contains a six-panelled door, with the top four panels glazed, and is topped by a semi-circular hood supported by ornamental wrought iron. There is a room to the right of the ground floor that includes window shutters.
