Description

Montrose is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble and coursed and squared rubble, featuring coped verges and a pantile roof with end brick stacks. The front of the house is symmetrical, with two storeys and two bays. It has 16-pane sash windows with brick jambs and heads, which are highlighted by freestone keys. The central door opening contains a six-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed, and is topped by a flat hood supported by thin iron brackets.
