Description

The Laurels is a house dating from the early 19th century. It has a rendered exterior that is scribed to resemble ashlar and is colourwashed. The building features end pilasters and colourwashed brick on the returns. It has wide bracketed eaves that support troughing, coped verges, and brick stacks, topped with an M-shaped roof covered in triple-Roman tiles. The house has a double depth plan and a symmetrical frontage with two storeys and three bays. It includes 16-pane sash windows with stepped voussoirs. The central door opening is broad with a segmental head, rusticated jambs, and stepped voussoirs. The door itself is recessed and has six panels with an integral fanlight above, which has a semi-circular head.
