Description
Brownsells is a house dating from the early 19th century, possibly incorporating an earlier dwelling. It features a rendered exterior that is grooved to resemble ashlar stone, with voussoirs and expressed quoins. The roof has a shallow pitch and is covered in slate, with a hipped projecting bay on the right side and brick chimney stacks. The building is two stories high and has a symmetrical layout with one entrance and four bays. The windows are 20th-century casements with two and three lights, which include glazing bars. The entrance is located in the second bay from the right and is sheltered by a late 19th-century porch that has a gabled slate roof, ridge tiles, and a finial, with a partially glazed door from the mid-20th century. The interior has not been viewed.
